The day we went caroling we celebrated our sweet Giselle's 7th birthday. This quiet sweet soul has been quite the puzzle for us. She is shy to some extent, but she's bubbly within her comfort. It's easy for her to fly under the radar, because she's so quiet. It's hard to really know what she's thinking because you have to dig deep to really hear her *voice*.
As I was praying for her this year, it finally hit me like a ton of bricks: DUH! Why hadn't it all clicked?? This sweet and quiet princess is a phlegmatic-melancholic!! Back when I was 16 (which, as it turns out, was a very "shaping" year in my life unbeknownst to me), I knew this stuff by heart. Why had I failed to identify these personality traits on her??
The little puzzle is very slowly coming into focus and we are beginning to understand more and more about her personality. She gets quickly confused and overwhelmed by a lot of people -which is kind of a problem because she lives with a lot of people! Ha! - this is one of the stretching parts of her life. She is good at finding the quiet and solitude her soul craves. She is a perfectionist and is very particular about the ways she envisions things. She is really good with the little kids, and can inspire them to a really fun game when she sets her heart to it.
