Four years of Leo!

Our Leomac has been filling our lives with his antics for four whole years!

This boy takes everything seriously in his life.

He’s sweet, funny, and delightful!  This year, on his birthday, we had an Ob-G appointment in Syracuse and we decided to make it a double hitter!

He’s ready to go!

...and off we went to check in on this little person!

We asked Dr. M not to tell us the gender, but to write it on a piece of paper.  The plan was to go to a store and Ben would go in to buy Leo’s birthday gift.  Also, he would pick up two action figures — male and female, correspondingly.  He would ask the person at the register to read the paper and ring the corresponding figure (while hiding the other one).

We went out to lunch, then let Leo open his gifts.  The very last gift would reveal the gender of our baby!

Later on, we made him his requested Batman cake... tried to, anyway...

I couldn’t possibly say that this is exactly what he had in mind,

But the joyful look on his face is priceless!!

Our Leo McClintock is such a joy!  He’s full of energy and strong willed.  Everything in his life is filtered through Batman.  He loves Batman.  He likes to color with black crayons..  His favorite animal?  You guessed it:  a bat.

But in all his love for adventure, he is such a sweet and tender hearted boy.  He’s very particular about his likes (and dislikes).  He is fond of routine.  We love our Leo and as we look ahead to his bright future, we pray for the faithfulness and wisdom to lead him through.
