The time came. Daddy put his proverbial foot down and said "No more Leo on our bed." The past few nights he has been getting up to love him back to bed when he gets up. Already, my boy has stopped waking up so many times and has even slept through the night without waking up at all one of those nights.
Sure we have slept better without a few kicks here and there! But I miss his middle-of-the-night snuggles already!
Coincidentally, I set up the matress of the crib by my bed so as to nurse Victoria at bed time and have her start the night sleeping by herself. Some nights it has given me a solid 4 hour chunk of baby-less sleep, other nights she is back in bed with me 20 minutes later. I really don't care that much because, really? How did we even get here so quickly?
It's amazing how -little- she lasts there sleeping.
This baby is SUCH a light sleeper that we skipped the baby basket altogether. Any movement, shift, or noise results in wide open blue eyes staring at you! Much like Adriana! I'm close to mastering the art of nursing and pulling away from her successfully (I wish!).
So our nights are more spent like this. The majority of the time, I don't mind it one little bit. Especially when I look at Elena and how quickly she is growing! These nights can be longer for just a little bit more!
