A Family Visit

We managed to squeeze in a visit to the Rochester family before the Summer was over.  We crammed pack our Toyota Sienna and took the drive with our 5 kids + our new baby!  It was pretty crazy at times in the vehicle, but we made it alright.

A Remax hot air balloon came close enough to wave at the kids.  Random.  But fun.

Uncle Jed and Aunt Bean were there.  The kids had a blast with Maddie and we enjoyed a yummy roast made by Maama.

The next day we visited with the Moores.  We took a stroll to a nearby park.  A walk with all these kiddos!!

Leo got to get reacquainted with his oldest (boy) cousin, Cotter!

The trip was made even better for me when we found fried plantains at Wegmans!!  Yum!

This cutie blew up her diaper, and fit perfectly in her Maama's bathroom sink!

We talked and we laughed and we connected briefly with each of the family.  It isn't fun to be far from family.  You miss, and you long, and whatever time you get it's just never enough.  But we enjoy what little we get, knowing that there is a greater longing, a greater looking forward to, when distance may not hinder us, when we'll all together in the face of our most loving Father.  That is the Hope of Glory, that is why we live this life and walk this walk.
