Keeping up with catching up, we took a stand for life back when we were a new family of 8. There was an opportunity to make a silent protest in front of the local Planned Parenthood and we took it. Not all the children fully understand why we did this. To some of them, the heat was a bother, the sign was too heavy, it was just plain boring. We want them to know, though, that we value life. We want them to remember that God loves life. Life is sacred. No one has the power to give it but God, no one should have the power to take it away but Him.
We joined a group of people from our church and joined a national day of protest. There were hundreds of other groups doing the same thing in front of Planned Parenthood facilities throughout the country.
We stand for the voiceless. We stand for the smallest and helpless. We stand even when our children may not fully comprehend, so that when they do, they will stand too on their own conviction.
